With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we at The Cupcake Shoppe would like to take a moment to step back and be thankful for everything happening in our little shoppe!
We are so lucky to have our team of bakers and decorators already gearing up for a busy, holiday season. Did you know that you can order specialty cakes and cupcakes with 2 days notice? That sure makes planning your holiday parties easier! We really like these fall and football season themed mini cupcakes. Call us at 919.821.4223 for more options and quotes!
We are also grateful for all the amazing North Carolina produce that is helping to make our fall menu really stand out! Sweet potatoes, pecans, and pumpkins galore! One of our best selling, and most in-demand cupcake, is the Pumpkin Maple. We have people that special order it all year round! Also featured this month are Ginger Molasses cookies, Sweet Potato cupcakes with Marshmallow buttercream, Maple Pecan bars, and Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies. Stop in often to check out what new treats our bakers have made for you!
Lastly, we are grateful (and super excited!) to once again be involved in the Raleigh Christmas Parade. The annual parade, presented by Shop Local Raleigh, will be taking place this Saturday Nov. 17 at 10am. Now in its 68th year, the parade will feature over 115 entries, including fantastic floats, super-sized balloons, marching bands, entertainers, and holiday surprises. We will be participating by walking along side other Shop Local Raleigh businesses and passing out coupons and holiday cheer!
The parade route is 1.2 miles long, starting at the corner of Hillsborough and St. Mary’s Street and finishing down Fayetteville Street. The Cupcake Shoppe is located near the corner of Hillsborough Street and Glenwood Avenue, so stop by before or after the parade for hot cocoa and fresh cupcakes!
And now, just because we are feeling nostalgic too, here are some vintage photographs of Christmastime in Raleigh.
Have a happy holiday season! We hope to celebrate with you soon!
